Built by the Almohads in the 12th century as an irrigation reservoir, this 200-meter-wide basin is supplied by an ancient hydraulic system connected to the Atlas Mountains. The 19th-century Saadian pavilion with green roof tiles reflects beautifully in the water against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains, making it a favorite spot for evening walks.
