Created in the 1920s by French painter Jacques Majorelle, this extraordinary 9,000 m² garden brings together over 300 plant species from five continents. Having moved to Marrakech in 1917, the artist transformed his property into a botanical paradise of giant bamboo, bougainvillea, cacti, palm trees, and yuccas surrounding ornamental ponds. His Art Deco studio, painted in the famous 'Majorelle blue', contrasts beautifully with the lush vegetation. Purchased in 1980 by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, the estate now houses the Pierre Bergé Museum of Berber Arts in the former studio.
