Located in the northeast of the medina, Bab El Khemis ('Thursday's Gate') is a historic fortified gate dating back to the Almoravid period. It takes its name from the weekly market held here every Thursday. Today, the gate leads into Marrakech's largest flea market (jumble and antiques market), where collectors and bargain hunters browse through vintage furniture, carved cedar doors, pottery, and unique second-hand treasures.
